As we begin let’s refresh our thinking on this matter. Without checking out any of the Scripture references given on this page or later pages write out your understanding of the meaning of ‘glorifying God’ in the following space. If you can think of any Scripture references that would support your explanation include those as well.

1. Read Exodus 28:2. How is glory used in this verse?
2. In Joshua 7:19 there is an unusual use of the word glory? What is it? You will need to read the immediate context to understand the event that is being described.
3. How is the word glory used in 1 Kings 3:13?
4. Finally, read Psalm 49:6 and outline the use of glory as the writer used it in this Psalm.
